Where Story Begins
I write stories about relationships among people and with nature and the land we love, for readers who enjoy smart literary work that feels both urgent and deeply human.
The Story Behind the Stories
I’ve always been drawn to writing stories and exploring nature. I spent my youth rambling outdoors, studying plants and any animal I could find, counting crayfish and catching pollywogs.
When not outside, I loved putting words on paper. My twin passions led me to a career in environmental law, and since I’ve returned to creative writing.
My path hasn’t been linear, but it’s been guided by a curiosity about the people I meet and the nature I explore.
I Write Because….
I want to celebrate the connections people have with each other.
I cherish a deep appreciation of the natural world.
I believe stories shared have the power to fuel real‑world change.
My Perspective
Every writer has ideas. What matters is perspective.
Mine is shaped by three forces:
Two decades of environmental law enforcement, fighting for clean water and land and protecting conservation easements.
A lifelong love of nature, embracing the hills, rivers, and meadows that have been my compass and my muse.
A fascination with tech ethics, evaluating how innovations serve us or collide with our daily lives.
